A Washington, D.C. native, Vincent D. Marletta graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 1987. He obtained his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore, MD in 1990.

Upon moving to the Bay Area in the early 2000s, Vince prepared to take the California Bar exam while working as a claims adjuster at the State Compensation Insurance Fund.
Following admission to the California Bar, he moved to the State Compensation Insurance Fund legal department. He worked as a defense attorney for several years at State Fund and in the private sector before opening his own practice in 2012.
